Here’s our preliminary timeline, sketched out February 14.
- End of February to end of March: identify and define terms of study and method. Finish short paper on method. Questions: Do major news networks link to or cite blogs in publication? (identify). If journalists at mainstream news networks use blogs, how? How do they regard that activity?
- End of March to end of April: Content and link gathering. Complete index of who cites whom, who links to whom. Begin setting up interviews with journalists. Begin working with reserach firm to conduct interviews with key bloggers about how they see their roles.
- beginning July: start analyzing data and writing about findings.
- August: prepare to present findings. Work on short papers / journalistic piece about the project
- September: findings galore!
